Brand New Car

2012 is here. We are taking the new car to the Indianapolis Circle Track Expo on January 28th. Everything is new this year. The only thing we are re-using is the motor/transmission. I can’t wait for this year to start. A huge thank you to Hurst Racecars for the awesome car. Pics to come soon.

Getting there

We are getting the car dialed in… With a 2nd place finish a couple of weeks ago, I ran the best all year and finished 4th. I made a few mistakes early that didn’t allow me to finish better. We made some large changes for this week and the car handled VERY GOOD through the entire turn. I may need a little more bite coming off the corner, but I may have just installed the wrong shock this week. Very pleased where we started this season and where we are at now.

First night of ShadyHill

We started off great. We led until the white flag in the heat, then a wrong turn caused me to spin. Ended 3rd in the heat. Started the feature in 5th, ran 4th for about 6-7 laps until a car drove me down and broke my front right tie rod.

Who needs clutches?

We ran at Kokomo this past Sunday. Was running third and the clutches let go. Ordered the clutches and will get them installed…

First race of 2011

We finally made a race that wasn’t rained out. We ran at Kokomo Speedway on Sunday. We had some issues early. We switched to a 4bbl and the valve covers didn’t fit. Had to change belts and several other tasks to get ready to race. I missed the drivers meeting. The car was EXTREMELY tight in the heat. Loosened it up for the feature, but not enough. Several people were telling me I was carrying my front left half way down the straight-aways. After almost flipping the car, I was nosed out of 5th place by about 2 feet…. No damage and had fun. Can’t wait for Saturday…

Mother Nature cancels us again

We were cancelled due to rain on Saturday. We then planned on going to Kokomo on Sunday. With constant rain, they were forced to cancel as well… Well, the car is loaded and ready for next weekend.

First Race of Season

Well, we made it all the way up to the races, had everything ready to go and Mother Nature decided otherwise. After about 15 minutes of heavy rain and hail, they cancelled the races… Thanks Scott Spence for hoping for rain!!!

T minus 4 days
